In the artist Erika Adamsson’s (b. 1973) paintings the viewer may see glimpses of everyday situations. The spontaneous and imperfect photographs capture moments in the most authentic way and Adamsson often uses these pictures as inspiration for her work. The expressionistic style that dominates the paintings is seen in Adamsson’s choice of motif, texture and the use of paint. In her work the objectiveness from photographing and the subjective way of looking at things is mixed into an honest and believable depiction of everyday life.
Meet the artist on Sunday March 19, 2017 at 2-3 pm.
