SUMMER EXHIBITION | ART GOES LOGOMO

10 June - 13 August 2017

This summer’s Art Goes Logomo exhibition brings together topical artworks by 20 contemporary Finnish and foreign artists and offers a high-quality cross-section of various media including sound installations, video, photography, sculptures and paintings. Many of contemporary art’s current and fundamental themes – man’s relationship with nature, science and the built environment, criticism of society and reflections on art history and human growth, to name but a few – are represented, while the artists have based their work on approaches that include the roughness of life, a sense of humour and the exploration of one’s own mindset. The exhibition shows how contemporary art can serve as a medium to highlight, understand, communicate and comment on our environments and lives. This extensive and unique summer exhibition is a collaboration between MAKASIINI CONTEMPORARY and Logomo.
